NBA predictions, stats and analysis

Bucks are struggling a bit

The Bucks were derailed from the hottest start in the league after Giannis and Jrue picked up injuries, but more than that, their rotations haven’t been locked in the way they’d like. This was a time when they could have used the services of high-yield wing Khris Middleton to turn things around, but in any case, despite dwindling wins of late, they are still in a solid position having started at an astonishing speed . As usual, Giannis remains their best player and for a team that has previously won a championship they will be back in contention.

Jrue Holiday remains their most reliable guard option at both ends while Bobby Portis has another stellar season. Brook Lopez’s activity level has been great and he’s also posting impressive numbers, but right now the Bucks desperately need Khris Middleton’s return to improve their points tally. The bench is also looking a bit uncertain and Middleton’s return will push Portis off the bench which will add depth to the squad. The Bucks’ defense was also a bit lackluster and they need to improve on this end.

The Cavs have recovered

The Cavaliers lit up the league as they won eight and lost just one earlier in the season. However, a long road trip threw them back and they lost five in a row, hampering their progress. Upon returning home, they reestablished their former dominance, winning four times in a row. Therefore, an improved effort on the street can bring big wins and the team can cling to the top rankings. Donovan Mitchell is a true elite scorer while Darius Garland is an amazing playmaker and has improved his score making for an electric backfield. Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen make a strong frontcourt pairing but Caris LeVert needs to improve his goal while the bench is slightly off and Cedi Osman remains inconsistent.
