Paolo Banchero, the No. 1 of the 2022 NBA Draft, could miss his first game of the season for the Orlando Magic. He has made a sensational start and justifies the Magic’s decision to put him above any other candidate in the aforementioned draft.

Orlando is struggling again, but if there’s any consolation this early in the NBA season, it’s got to be Banchero’s spectacular play. He has an average of 23.5 points, which leads the team, shooting at 46.1%. Banchero has added a team’s second-best 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 11 games to date.

Paolo Banchero (ankle) noted for Wednesday doubtful.

As good as the former Duke superstar was, he looked like he was starting to get more rhythm in his attack. He had a career high of 33 points against the Sacramento Kings before following it up with 30 points against the Houston Rockets.

However, the Orlando Magic have officially listed him as questionable due to an ankle sprain. He most likely sustained the injury during their loss to the Rockets. Orlando now has several players on their NBA injury report, including Cole Anthony, Markelle Fultz, Gary Harris and Moritz Wagner.

They will likely struggle against the Luka Doncic-led Dallas Mavericks in their next game.

Meanwhile, Chris Paul played just 14 minutes in the Phoenix Suns’ loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. “CP3” just had two points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals before leaving the game.

Paul collided with an unknown Philly player in the second quarter of that game and did not return. The Suns have officially listed him as questionable due to right heel pain.

After the game, the 12x All-Star only shrugged off the injury as nothing more than the Phoenix Suns being extremely careful. They are already without two key players from last season’s team, Jae Crowder and Cam Johnson, but will not risk the 37-year-old point guard.

Chris Paul said if he could have played he would have, but he doesn’t see the sore right heel as a long-term thing. “I’m not too worried about it.” When asked if this was just a matter of caution, Paul said, “Yes.” #Sun tanning #76ers

Chris Paul has averaged 9.5 points and 9.4 assists in 10 games this season. The Suns will no doubt miss his game and leadership. Cameron Payne and Landry Shamet could see more minutes on the point guard without ‘CP3’.

Former NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam has strained his right adductor and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He sustained the injury in the Toronto Raptors’ heartbreaking loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Siakam was taken out of the game in the third quarter and did not return.

Siakam has played at the All-Star level this season, averaging high marks in his career (24.8), rebounds (9.3) and assists (7.7). He has never played so well, even on his only All-Star roster during the 2019-20 season.

Birds of Prey say Pascal Siakam has been diagnosed with a right adductor strain and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

The Raptors will provide an update after it has been re-evaluated.

NBA All-Star Trae Young has played through pain in recent games. He was poked in the eye by Julius Randle of the New York Knicks, but eventually returned with protective gear. The next game, he injured his shin against the New Orleans Pelicans, but returned to play anyway.

The Atlanta Hawks finally decided to keep Young out against two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Impressively, the Hawks still managed to beat the previously undefeated Bucks without “Ice Trae”.
