Welcome back to the November Photo Update featuring CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood. This month we’re focusing on the various holiday preparations being made around the park for the upcoming celebrations. The construction for the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen and Super Nintendo World has also received some exciting new updates.
We have much to unravel. Let’s start!

“A little bit of that, a little bit of that
The signage for the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen has finally been installed! The gears on the signage are spinning and we can also see a sign that says “Food and Spirits” and one that says “Candy Smith.” It’s really exciting to see how all the details come together on the exterior as well.
The Grinchmas Store is now open in CityWalk! Located between Lids and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, the store sells Grinchmas merchandise and other toys.
The giant Christmas tree in front of Universal Cinema is back on the CityWalk!
Garlands and wreaths were placed throughout the CityWalk.
Bowser’s head can now be seen at the front of the castle and more detail is being finalized in the area. Scaffolding was also erected around the dome in front of the castle and additional decorations such as coin blocks were added.
There is so much festive spirit as the park gets ready for the holidays. We see garlands with colorful balls, wreaths, poinsettias and creatively decorated Christmas trees! The Christmas tree decorated with pterodactyls in the Jurassic World area is back in the Lower Lot next to Isla Nu-Bar. We even caught a glimpse of the tree at Universal Plaza as they prepare for the Grinchmas celebration.
The Minions are all ready for the holidays! The Christmas tree with the Minion balls is back next to the Minion Cafe and the tree top is definitely unique! Our favorite Minions are featured on posters on the cafe’s walls, which may cause a bit of chaos. The collectible Holiday Minion popcorn bucket is also back for $28.99 and can be found throughout the park.
Grinchmas merchandise is back and available at stores in the park and on the CityWalk. A variety of goods, from clothing to household goods, can be purchased.
The City Snack Shop near Universal Plaza is serving up some holiday treats! For a limited time, guests can enjoy treats like clam chowder or harvest stew in bread bowls.
That’s enough for this month’s photo update. As always, we wish you the best and thank you for following our continued coverage of Universal Parks and Resorts!
