The Boston Celtics are on a four-game losing streak against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
Boston entered the slopes Monday night with an impressive 109-106 road win over Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum. Jayson Tatum paved the way for the Celtics to a big win with 39 points, three rebounds and two assists.
The Pistons were not as lucky as the Celtics to open the 2022-23 season. Detroit have won their match against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, but have lost three of their last four matches and are entering Wednesday’s game. The Pistons are currently 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 3-8 record.
There will be more to see in Wednesday’s match than just scores. Sports Illustrated Sportsbook is full of interesting props about crashes.
Here are three prop bets to consider ahead of Wednesday’s Celtics-Pistons match.
Cade Cunningham under 31.5 points + rebounds + assists (-125)
The young Pistons guard was impressive and filled the stats sheet to start the 2022-23 season, but failed to surpass this total in two of Detroit’s last three games. Cunningham is likely to have a solid game, but the Boston defense is starting to turn things around and the young guard has a big challenge to deal with the combination of Marcus Smart, Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon.
If Cunningham bets $125 to keep under 31.5 points, rebounds and assists and he does it, he could earn a profit of $100.
Jayson Tatum over 7.5 rebounds (+110)
The young Boston star wing has done a little bit of everything for the Celtics so far. In addition to averaging 31.2 points per game, Tatum is also averaging 7.5 rebounds per game. He has failed to exceed 7 rebounds in each of Boston’s last two games, but has caught more than 8 rebounds in 6 of his 10 games with Boston this season.
If you bet $100 on Tatum to reach the goal, the payout is $110.
Celtics over 119.5 (-118)
This is a high score total, but the Celtics are statistically the best offense in the NBA and the Pistons have the worst defense. Boston has a league-best offensive rating of 116.7 while Detroit has the lowest defensive rating in the NBA of 116.5.
