Gushcloud and Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus unveils giant inflatable art in SG

Cordell Broadus, a cryptocurrency entrepreneur and investor, has partnered with Gushcloud International, a technology-driven global digital media and talent company based in Singapore, to launch The Champ Medici Lounge, a five-day Web-focused event3 that takes place together with F1 Singapore. The event will feature a huge inflatable art installation that will be positioned at Somerset Youth Park throughout the month of October.

Developed by Yuga Labs, Champ Medici is part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which is a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs based on the Ethereum blockchain. At its peak, the entry price for a Bored Ape reached $ 400,000. BAYC remains a profitable collection and investment that in September 2022 a Bored Ape NFT was sold for $ 1.17 million. Additionally, BAYC’s exclusivity has attracted a growing number of famous collectors such as Eminem, Madonna, Stephen Curry and Snoop Dogg.

The luxurious pop-up lounge event is created and hosted by Champ Medici and Gushcloud International along with crypto companies and Web3, namely NewStyle Media Group (NSMG), Bixin Ventures, BCA Network, Clay Nation, Vera and Bytecity.

The event will see seven activations from September 28 to October 2 to bring together crypto, NFT, founders, creators, creatives and investors of Web3 globally.

“I am excited to partner with Gushcloud and key brands in the Web3 industry such as NSMG (owners of the Chinese TV show The savage), Bixin Ventures (venture company in Web3), BCA Network (first cryptocurrency space) to develop activations during the F1 celebration in Singapore. This will be Snoop Geek Squad and my first time in Asia and we can’t wait to meet brands and talent who want to start exploring Web3. We want to share our experiences on how we brought my dad, Snoop and some of the world’s biggest stars into the industry and how they found better ways to interact with their fans, ”said Broadus.

The pop-up lounge consists of five activities. The first activity is the “welcome dinner in the block (WTTB)”. It’s a private VIP dinner on September 28, hosted by the Golden Equator Group, to welcome Broadus, Snoop’s Geek Squad and hip-hop mogul and icon Russell Simmons. It will host entrepreneurs and tech investors in Web 2 and Web3, as well as international and local celebrities in Singapore during the F1 weekend.

The second activity is the “Champ Medici Sushi Pop”. It’s another invitation-only event where Broadus will host 68 investors, movers and shakers at one of Singapore’s hottest hand roll sushi restaurants.

The third activity is the “Welcome To The Block Web3 Panel and WTTB Fund Announcement”. Champ Medici will also announce its partnership with venture capital, Golden Equator Group, to create the “Welcome To The Block Fund, a Web3 investment fund”.

The fourth activity is the “Champ Medici x Dr Bombay Art Gallery & The Last Generation Immersive Experience”. It is organized by Gushcloud, Bixin Ventures, NewStyle Media Group (NSMG) and BCA Labs. It will feature key artwork inspired by China’s leading Chinese drama, The savage, as well as Broadus and Snoop Dogg’s (Dr Bombay) NFT art collections which include Steve Aoki and Wiz Khalifa’s NFT. It is open to the public from 1st to 2nd October from 11am to 9pm at The Mandala Club.

The final activity is the “Champ Medici: Recharge”. The public can visit and take a selfie with the life-sized Champ Medici inflatable installation at the Somerset Belt from 23 September to 31 October. This 40-foot piece of art, owned by Broadus, aims to show the world that Champ Medici and his communities are in a constant recharging process. It also aims to promote Web3 and NFT. This traveling piece features two communities that Champ is invested in. Singapore serves as the first stop on the Champ Medici: Recharge Tour.

The inflatable installation features two communities that Champ Medici has invested in, namely HANJAN and Oasis Club. HANJAN, a premium wellness and lifestyle brand founded in Singapore, is represented by the pouch around the chest. On the other hand, Champ Medici is a founding supporter of Oasis Club, a global Web 3.0 wellness membership club that supports communities of creators and entrepreneurs. The NFT artwork by WOMI, the Korean artist for Oasis Club’s Genesis collection, can be found on the inflatable artwork board shorts.

“Personally I’m very excited about the public art exhibit that would feature my bored monkey named Champ Medici in a massive way. It shows how an NFT can be successfully licensed and transformed into different art forms, it also shows how an NFT can collaborate with brands and develop more engaging strategies. In this way, I hope to showcase my Bored Ape NFT in a meaningful way, engage communities in Web3 and also help my fellow Bored Ape owners by increasing the intangible value of art. This is the beauty of Web3 and communities, ”added Broadus.

“At Gushcloud, providing brands, talent solutions and innovative ideas on how to market and further engage your fans is always critical to us. We want to help our creators, partners and brands maximize the opportunities in Web3 to help their businesses and investments grow. We look forward to the discussions and solutions that will emerge in the pop-up lounge, ”said Althea Lim, co-founder and CEO of the Gushcloud International group.
