Home Nurse Inc. Announces Atlanta Structured Family Care Program

The newly expanded service is available to those over 18 who meet eligibility requirements and covers a range of care options.

The Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) program in Georgia provides support and financial support to families caring for an elderly or disabled family member at home. The program aims to help families who may not have the resources to provide long-term care themselves by providing them with compensation and resources to better support their loved ones.

Home Nurse Inc can now assist clients in applying for the state health care option and offers a range of services to support family caregivers. These services include health coaching and counseling, as well as assistance with tasks such as housekeeping, bathing, preparing meals, and managing appointments and medications.

To be eligible for the SFC program, caregivers must live in the same household as the person they care for and be related to that person, either biologically or by marriage. Spouses and legal guardians are excluded from the program. In addition, the caregiver must be eligible for Georgia Medicaid and participate in either the CCSP or SOURCE Waiver program.

Successful applicants for the new program will have the opportunity to receive weekly compensation. Caregivers can also receive health coaching and guidance from Home Nurse SFC staff to help them better understand their loved one’s needs and provide the best possible care.
