Jaguars claim K Riley Patterson and four other players off waivers

Jacksonville, Florida — The Jacksonville Jaguars announced today that the following players have been exempted.

  • S Tyree Gillespie (Tennessee)
  • RB JaMycal Hasty (San Francisco)
  • K Riley Patterson (Detroit)
  • WR Kendric Pryor (Cincinnati)
  • LB Ty Summers (Green Bay)

Gillespie was originally selected by Las Vegas in the fourth round (143rd overall) of the 2021 draft. He appeared in 11 games for the Raiders in 2021 before being traded to Tennessee this offseason. He played at the University of Missouri (2017-20), and in 37 games he totaled 139 tackles (104 solos), 10 defensive passes, 2.0 sacks and 1 forced turnover. The Ocala, Florida native attended Pioneer High School, where he helped his team go 10-2 and reach the regional finals in his senior season in 2016.

Hasty signed with San Francisco in 2020 as a rookie free agent. He appeared in 19 games over two seasons, amassing 216 rushing yards on 55 carries and two touchdowns. Originally from Hazel Crest, Illinois, Pryor finished his senior year of high school with 43 receptions for 1,152 yards and 12 touchdowns. Summers was originally selected by Green Bay in the seventh round (226th overall) of the 2019 draft. He started out in 46 games. He totaled 23 tackles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 defensive pass. He also added 14 special team tackles. The San Antonio, Texas native played college football at TCU, where he totaled 315 tackles (166 solo), 23 tackles, 10.5 sacks and two sacks in 50 career games. interception.
