GREELEY, Colorado, Dec. 02, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — JBS USA, a leading global food company, announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire certain assets of TriOak Foods, a Midwest-based pork producer, for an undisclosed amount. The two companies have enjoyed a long-standing relationship, with JBS USA being the exclusive client of TriOak market hogs since 2017.

TriOak Foods, a family business established in 1951, includes live pork production, grain marketing and fertilizer marketing. Farm real estate in Iowa is not included in the transaction. TriOak Foods pig farms are leaders in on-farm sustainability and include multiple open stalls for gestation and California Proposition 12 rule compliant farms.

JBS USA is currently the exclusive customer of TriOak Foods. This evolution of the long-standing partnership will allow JBS USA to ensure consistent supply and increased efficiencies, resulting in affordable, quality products for American consumers and new opportunities for TriOak and JBS team members.

JBS USA currently operates five pork production facilities in Beardstown, Illinois; Louisville, Kentucky; Marshalltown, Iowa; Ottumwa, Iowa; and Worthington, Minnesota, a value-added meat processing facility in Pipestone, Minnesota, sow production facilities in Arkansas and Texas, and contract sow production facilities in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.
