The New York Mets thrashed Major League Baseball’s top dogs 2-1 on Wednesday at the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Yes, Jacob deGrom is on the mound, but even the best need a little help sometimes.
In the seventh inning, Justin Turner opened a 0-1 100-mph fastball and drove it deep into the midfield. But Brandon Nimoy danced so hard that he didn’t take his eyes off the whole time.
In desperation, he jumped, snatched Turner’s home run, hit the wall, and yelled.

“I knew it was hit in the first place, so my concern was to get back to the fence as soon as possible…” Nimmo told reporters after the game. “The timing was perfect and everything was perfect.”
Nemo got a standing ovation after the game, got a lot of high-fives from his teammates, and got a lot of help even when he came back for his next bat.
Nimmo isn’t afraid to admit that he’s very excited about the catch.
“I have to start calming down because I do have to sleep at some point tonight,” He added.
“I’m still ecstatic about it. It’s one of the best plays I’ve ever done.”
The heist retains deGrom’s good start, but thanks to Nimmo, the box score looks much better. DeGrom threw seven one-pointers and struck out.
