Morgan Wallen released a trio of new songs as part of a three-song collection called One by one – samplers.

On Friday (December 2), the east Tennessee native shared the triad of tunes, including “One Thing At A Time,” “Days That End In Why,” and the previously teased tune “Tennessee Fan.” The new songs are just a taste of his forthcoming third studio album, which will follow his record-breaking second project. Dangerous: The double album.

“I’m not quite finished working on this new album, so I’ll keep making it through the holidays and early January to chase that inspiration,” Wallen said in a press release. “I promise I won’t wait too long to reveal the album details. To keep you happy, today I’m bringing three new songs as samplers of what I’ve been working on. I can’t wait to take it one night at a time in 2023.”

Listen to Morgan Wallen’s three new songs below.

“Tennessee Fan”

The song, co-written by Wallen with HARDY, Mark Holman and Ashley Gorley, follows a character who meets an Alabama fan at a bar in Tennessee after a football game. The pair eventually hit it off and the character turned his love interest into a lifelong Tennessee fan, and although his team didn’t win, the character admitted he ended up getting “number one.”

Wallen also references the ongoing rivalry between the Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama’s Crimson Tide in the lyrics of the tune.

“They beat us every damn year / It’s been a minute since we had a win / I loaded the truck up with beers / drove down to watch them do it again / and they did it, so we are.” went to the bar right after / met a girl with a houndstooth logo of her chapter / on her shirt and it started talking all night / she came back with me and crossed the state line from Vols / guess the joke is up Alabama / ’cause they lost big this time / I got number one, blond hair, red lips, took her to the other side / a little deep south delta gamma / found a Smokey Mountain man / she got up to the day lifted by the flood / but since that night she’s been a Tennessee fan…”

“One after the other”

The tune, which will serve as the title track for his newly announced world tour, was co-written by Wallen with Ashley Gorley, ERNEST and Ryan Vojtesak. On “One Thing At A Time,” the country hitmaker realizes that he has a lot of bad habits that he needs to break, while admitting that he can’t just shake them all at once and that he has to take one thing at a time .

“I can either burn down the bar / Or I can take your number out of my phone / I can give you up right now / I never want you back while I’m half stoned / If you want me to leave you / Want me to.” wanna get you out of my heart and baby out of my head / i hate to tell you girl / but i only ever stop on one thing / aw yeah i hate to tell you / aw yeah i hate to tell you ‘ Wallen sings in the chorus of the new catchy tune.

“Days That End With Why”

Co-written by John Byron, Blake Pendergrass and Driver Williams, Days That End In Why shows Wallen missing his former lover and questioning a breakup every day of the week.

“I know what a goodbye sounds like when it’s kicked through in the taillight / I know what she said and I won’t forget where she told me where to go / But the hell since the Goodyears mean.” dead grass driveway / It was like nights that start with whiskey / and days that end with why,” Wallen sings in the tune’s chorus.

The three new songs follow his new single on country radio “Thought You Should Know” which sits in the top 20, while his latest hit “You Proof” returns to the top of the chart for a rare sixth non-consecutive week at the top of the chart Country Airplay Charts.

The news comes along with the announcement of his massive 2023 One Night At A Time World Tour. The trek, supported by ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman on all dates and HARDY and Parker McCollum on select dates, will visit 4 countries and 2 continents.

Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour kicks off March 15th with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDY.

“Man what a year 2022 was with the Dangerous Tour. I’ve had the time of my life and I can’t express how grateful I am that my fans are so connected to the Dangerous album,” says Wallen. “I’ve had so many people ask me if I want to take some time off; But the truth is – I’ve been writing and making so much music in my free time because I feel as inspired as ever. It feels like new songs are pouring out of me and I love that feeling. We’ll be doing it again next year with the One Night At A Time World Tour. Larger Venues. New countries. Bigger Memories. See you there.”

Wallen’s “You Proof” continues its smashing success on country radio as it topped Billboard’s country airplay for the 6th consecutive week. Meanwhile, his latest single “Thought You Should Know” continues to climb the charts.
