Oklahoma State football doesn’t have to look far for potential transfer signings after extending an offer for another standout defensive player from Tulsa on Friday. Golden Hurricane graduate transfers defensive end Anthony Goodlow entered the portal this week and quickly saw a surge of attention from Power Five programs, including early interest from the Cowboys.
Goodlow has several years of experience with 48 career games played and 22 total starts in Tulsa. The 6-foot-4, 286-pound defensive lineman started in all 12 games this season with 44 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, four quarterback rushes and two pass breakups. He received second-team all-conference honors.
Since announcing his transfer decision Thursday, Goodlow has received known offers from Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Rutgers, SMU, TCU, Tulane and West Virginia. This list keeps growing.

As a junior in 2021, Goodlow played in all 13 games and made five starts. He compiled 28 total tackles, eight tackles for losses, had a team-high six sacks and was recovering from a fumble. Goodlow had a total of four tackles and a sack in a loss to Oklahoma State last season.
Goodlow got his first significant action on defense as a redshirt sophomore in 2020, playing in all nine games and making 10 starts. He was credited with 32 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for losses, four sacks, one forced fumble and one pass separation. He had four tackles and recorded his first career sack in a loss to Oklahoma State in the season opener.
Goodlow was considered a three-star recruit from Del City, Okla. in the 2018 class. He was ranked 1,737 nationally and was the 116th outside linebacker in class, according to the industry-compiled 247Sports Composite.
He had offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Navy, Tulsa and Wyoming.

The 2022-23 cycle for the NCAA transfer portal is unlike any other with a restricted window for FBS athletes to enter their names from December 5 through January 19. Eligible players eligible to participate outside the window include FCS players, transfers and those whose head coaches have been fired.
Tulsa fired head coach Philip Montogmery earlier this week after eight seasons. The state of Oklahoma also extended a transfer offer for Golden Hurricane standout linebacker Justin Wright.
Goodlow is the sixth known transfer offer for Oklahoma State earlier this cycle:
Oklahoma State currently has commitments from 11 prospects in its 2023 class of recruits, including two standout defensemen in Del City, Okla. Jaedon Foreman and Euless (Tex.) Trinity Big Man Ricky Lolohea.
Oklahoma State has 12 scholarship defensive ends on its list for the 2022 season. Five of them are seniors with Ben Kopenski, Tyler Lacy and Nathan Latu an additional year of remaining eligibility due to the NCAA’s waiver due to the pandemic affecting the 2020 season. Both Rock Martin and Tiren Irby have exhausted their eligibility.
