Packers Add Former Iowa TE Shaun Beyer to Practice Squad

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin — Unofficially, the Green Bay Packers added tight end Shaun Beyer on Thursday as their 16-man practice team fleshed out.

Bayer, an undrafted free agent from Iowa State in 2021, spent training camp and his entire rookie season with the Denver Broncos. Denver released him in May, and he signed with Minnesota but was fired on Aug. 22 in the Vikings’ 80-man cut.

With the Packers, he’ll do the dirty work on the practice field behind Robert Tonyan, Marches Lewis, Josiah Deguara and Tyler Davis.
